First Amendment expert Lee Levine, a 1976 College of Arts and Sciences graduate, will join the DP Alumni Association to discuss his new book, “In Bad Faith: Earl Caldwell and the Fight for a Free Press.” Levine tells how the reporter’s 1970 fight to protect his sources led to a landmark Supreme Court case that still influences discussions of press freedom.
Levine, the DP’s longtime legal counsel, has practiced, taught and written about First Amendment law for 50 years and has long represented the DP. Join fellow alumni to hear Levine talk about how this real-life thriller unfolded — and how the case still resonates.
