Masthead Madness `26
Raise It All!
Masthead Madness is back, and we need DP alumni captains to lead the charge! Once again, all donations will go toward the Eric Jacobs Scholarships Fund, helping remove financial barriers for students working at the DP.
During this year’s Masthead Madness, our student journalists have a massive opportunity to cover the Penn vs. Illinois game in the NCAA tournament in Greenville, S.C. this Thursday.
This is exactly why The Daily Pennsylvanian exists — to put our students on the national stage and provide the real-time, high-stakes coverage our community expects.
The Goal: Get the Team to Greenville!
While our broader Masthead Madness goal is $40,000 and award 20 $2,000 EJ Scholarships, our immediate “starting lineup” priority is fully funding this tournament trip. We need to raise $3,500 right now to cover the last-mile costs that make this possible:
Travel and courtside logistics: getting the team to South Carolina and back
On-the-ground expenses: meals and local transportation
Real-time reporting: the necessary equipment and technology to file stories and photos from the building as the action happens
As a Masthead Madness Captain, you’ll:
Help raise critical funds that ensure every student can afford to work at the DP.
Lead your fellow DP alumni, friends and family to victory while making a lasting impact on student journalism at ther DP.
We’re looking for leaders from every DP board and year to step up and take part. Ready to help your team take the top spot?
Sign up to be a Captain today!
